Uzhydromet has announced the expected weather forecast for the country for December 29-31 and January 1. According to him, Uzbeks will meet New Year's mainly in unstable weather conditions, in some regions with rain and snow, and in some places with relatively warm and dry weather.
In the Republic of Karakalpakstan and Khorezm region, the weather will be changeable. On December 29, light rain is possible in some areas, and on December 30, precipitation mixed with rain and snow is expected in some places. No precipitation is expected on December 31 and January 1. Fog is possible in some areas. West wind shifting to east 7-12 m/s. Temperature at night 0-5°C, during the day 0-5°C. East wind 7-12 m/s. Temperature at night 2° frost-3° warmth, in the daytime 29-30 December 5-10° warmth, on the eve of the New Year 3-8° warmth.
In Bukhara and Navoi regions, rain is possible in some places on December 29-31, and no precipitation is expected on January 1. Fog is expected in some areas. East wind shifting to east 7-12 m/s, with possible gusts up to 18 m/s in some areas on December 29. The temperature will gradually decrease over the days: initially it will be 13-18°C, and during the New Year's day it will remain around 7-12°C.
No precipitation is expected in Tashkent, Samarkand, Jizzakh, and Syrdarya regions on December 29 and January 1. On December 30-31, rain is possible in some places. The probability of fog will remain. East wind shifting to west 7-12 m/s. Temperature at night 0-5°C, during the day 0-5°C. On December 29, the daytime temperature will be 13-18°C, and on New Year's Day it will be around 5-10°C.
In Kashkadarya and Surkhandarya regions, no precipitation is expected on December 29 and January 1, rain is possible in some places on December 30-31. The temperature will gradually decrease from 14-19°C during the day to 7-12°C.
Andijan, Namangan, and Fergana regions will experience changeable weather. Rain is possible in some areas on December 30-31. The daytime temperature will drop from 10-15°C to 3-8°C.
In mountainous areas, the weather will be relatively colder. Intermittent snow, fog, and icy conditions are possible on the roads. The temperature will drop to -7°C at night and remain within 0-5°C during the day.
