Uzbekistan's President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has approved comprehensive reforms aimed at making the judiciary independent, transparent, professional, and modern. This decree outlines guidelines on how judicial self-governance bodies will function, how selections will be conducted, boosting public trust in the judiciary, and attracting honest and qualified personnel to the system.

By December 15, 2025:

- New positions will be added to the composition of the Council of Judges, increasing the maximum number of staff to 32.

- Organizations must prepare proposals to create a fair system.

These reforms aim to enhance the efficiency of the judiciary and strengthen trust in justice.
