How much money will be allocated to increase scholarships, salaries, and benefits in 2026 has been announced

The Ministry of Economy and Finance presented the draft law on the state budget for the next year to the public. The document stipulates that the state will allocate 6 trillion soums in 2026 to increase wages, pensions, scholarships, and benefits. This amount also includes expenses related to the increase in prices for certain types of services and the creation of new jobs.
In order to preserve the real incomes of the population, the draft law plans to increase wages and pensions above inflation. According to the forecast, inflation will be around 7 percent in 2026.
According to the Ministry's calculations, if the salaries of civil servants are increased by 1%, an additional 1.697 trillion soums will be allocated from the budget, and if pensions are increased by 1%, 832 billion soums will be allocated.
In 2026, it is planned to allocate 172.8 trillion soums for expenses on wages and social tax - this is 18.5 trillion soums more than this year. Salary payments constitute 42.9 percent of the total state budget expenditures.
Next year, more than 2.2 trillion soums will be allocated for scholarships, 86.1 trillion soums for pensions, and over 14 trillion soums for benefits.
The previously announced Fiscal Strategy emphasized that salaries and pensions would increase by at least 6-7% in 2026.
Thus, the state continues to support household incomes by expanding social spending.
