President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, during his visit to the Syrdarya region on December 4, familiarized himself with the activities of River Med Pharm, one of the leading enterprises in the country for the production of infusion medicines, with a value of $30 million. About 20 percent of infusion solutions produced in Uzbekistan are prepared here.
At this enterprise, infusion solutions, which are crucial for the patient's life, are produced under absolutely sterile conditions, with high accuracy and in full compliance with international standards. The enterprise produces a total of 114 million units of 70 types of medicines per year, 20% of which are exported, which indicates the enterprise's international competitiveness.
In November, the second phase of the project was launched, and production capacity was further expanded. Now the enterprise will produce 30 million infusion solutions, more than 70 million dry antibiotics, and about 20 million eye and nose drops per year.
The head of state was also informed about the company's future plans - to increase the range of products to 200 types, launch the production of solutions for injections in glass and plastic containers, as well as new types of tablets and capsules, and increase the number of jobs to a thousand.
Here, President Mirziyoyev met with activists and elders of the region and exchanged views on important issues related to the economy, industry, agriculture, youth education, and the future of the region.
