Number of International Students in Uzbekistan Rises by 51.5%

By the beginning of November 2025, the number of foreign students who came to Uzbekistan for education reached 33,200. The annual growth rate amounted to 51.5%, according to the National Statistics Committee.

Among foreign students, the majority are from India — over 14,300, Turkmenistan — 8,300, and Tajikistan — 2,300. Additionally, students from more distant countries also came to Uzbekistan.

In particular, 1,600 students arrived from Pakistan, 1,200 from China, and 806 from South Korea. Furthermore, 461 students came from the Philippines, 429 from the United States, and 175 from Jordan to pursue education in Uzbekistan.
