Preparations have begun for a large-scale celebration of the 35th anniversary of independence
An important decision was made to adequately celebrate the 35th anniversary of state independence in Uzbekistan. In accordance with it, the composition of the republican commission was approved to prepare for this date and organize festive events at a high level.
It was noted that the commission will ensure the wide-scale celebration of the Independence Day in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, Tashkent city, all regions, districts and cities, as well as in neighborhoods, villages and auls. To this end, a specific action plan will be developed based on the concept and its consistent implementation will be established.
In addition, creative groups will be formed consisting of representatives of science, education, culture and art, athletes and public activists. With their participation, large-scale spiritual and educational events, festivals and social projects called "Independence Wedding" will be held throughout the republic from April to September.
Another important innovation is the creation of a symbolic monument "Vatan fidoilari", embodying the ideas of national independence. This project was developed by the Academy of Arts, the Ministry of Culture, the Writers' Union and the Republican Center for Spirituality and Enlightenment, and will be submitted to the Cabinet of Ministers by June 1, 2026. Later, this monument will be installed in the central part of the national unity parks to be built across the country.
At the same time, a special book-album called "Independence Zafarnomasi" will be prepared by August 1, 2026. It will cover the reforms, achievements and development results carried out in the country in various fields.
In August, an international scientific and practical conference on the topic "Independent Uzbekistan - 35 years of development: reforms, results and prospects" is planned to be held in Tashkent.
Also, a commemorative gold coin dedicated to the "35th anniversary of independence" will be minted by September 1.
It is clear that this date is not an ordinary holiday - it is a historical milestone of great importance for the entire country. Thus, this year's Independence Day will become not only a celebration, but also an important event that will further strengthen confidence in the future.
