New measures to stabilize food prices

From April 1 to August 1, 2026, temporary subsidies will be allocated from the state budget to entrepreneurs in order to stabilize prices for meat products. In accordance with the Presidential Decree "On Additional Measures to Support the Provision of the Population with Basic Food Products", during this period, 50 percent of the costs of air transportation will be reimbursed to importers of beef and mutton. However, it is required not to exceed 0.8 US dollars per kilogram of meat.
According to the resolution, from April 1 to December 31, 2026, 10 percent subsidies will be allocated to importers of pedigree cattle from abroad, but the maximum amount for each head of cattle must not exceed 4 million soums.
The subsidies will be financed by the Agency for Payments in the Agrarian Sector, and these measures will help the population prevent excessive increases in prices for meat products.
