Third-generation BYD Yuan Plus to be unveiled on May 21

BYD is preparing for the official launch of the new, third-generation Yuan Plus crossover. The model's premiere will take place in China on May 21. First showcased at the Beijing Auto Show, this production version features a refreshed exterior, a redesigned interior, and advanced technical specifications. This is reported by Ixbt.com news.
The new crossover stands out with a more modern and compact design. The vehicle is offered in six colors, with semi-hidden door handles. The car's dimensions are 4665 x 1895 x 1675 mm, with a wheelbase of 2770 mm. Customers can choose between 18 or 19-inch alloy wheels.
Inside, a large central display is installed, and the gear selector has been moved to a steering column stalk. A wireless charging pad for smartphones has been added to the center console. BYD engineers decided to retain some physical buttons to avoid over-digitizing the interface.
Technically, the Yuan Plus has moved to a new rear-wheel-drive electric platform. The model will be available with two electric motor options producing 278 and 326 horsepower. The car is equipped with second-generation Blade batteries, supporting fast charging technology and offering a range of 630 km on a single charge.
