It seems the last week of spring has prepared real weather "surprises" for our country's residents. According to meteorologists, we can expect both cool rains and true summer heat in the coming days. Experts from "Uzhydromet" have shared detailed information on how the weather will change throughout this week.
Today, Monday, dry and sunny weather will prevail in most parts of the country. Only in some parts of the capital region and the Fergana Valley is there a possibility of short-term light rain and thunderstorms.
Weather "whims" in the middle of the week
May 26–27 (Tuesday and Wednesday) unstable weather will be observed across the republic. In some places, there may be short-term rain and lightning. On these days, the thermometer reading will be relatively moderate — +25…+30 degrees around. However, for our compatriots living in the southern regions and desert areas, the temperature is expected to be slightly warmer, i.e., up to +33…+35 degrees is expected to rise.
May 28 (Thursday) starting from this day, clouds will clear in the plains, and precipitation will stop. As a result, the air temperature will rise by another 2–3 degrees.
Summer heat: Heat intensifies at the end of the week
The last days of May, i.e., May 29–31 are forecast to have completely dry and calm weather across Uzbekistan. On these days, the sun will shine brightly, and the daytime temperature will gradually rise, reaching +35…+38 degrees . This indicates that summer is already at the doorstep.
Attention, flood risk! The situation is slightly more serious in the foothills and mountainous districts. Here, heavy downpours and even hail are possible from time to time between May 25–28. Therefore, there is a risk of flash floods in mountainous areas from May 25–31. Those going on vacation are asked to take precautionary measures.
Also, wind speeds will increase from the usual 7–12 m/s to 13–18 m/s in some places. In desert areas, wind gusts may reach 20–22 m/s, and dust storms are not excluded.
What will the weather be like in our capital?
In Tashkent city, sunny and dry weather is expected today during the day. The temperature will be +26…+28 degrees warm.
May 26 evening and May 27: Short-term rain and thunderstorms are possible in our city. The temperature will be +16…+18 degrees at night, +28…+30 degrees during the day on Tuesday, and +26…+28 degrees on Wednesday. Wind speed may increase to 10–12 m/s.
May 28–31: Hot days are also ahead for residents of the capital. There will be no precipitation, and the temperature will gradually rise, reaching +33…+36 degrees by the end of the week.
