Namangan Makes History: Flower Festival Enters Guinness World Records (Video)

Today, May 24, the 65th International Flower Festival officially kicked off in Namangan. This year, the traditional celebration stands out once again for its scale and unique scenery. The festival will run until July 12, turning the city into a true floral paradise.
Extensive landscaping work was carried out across Namangan ahead of the event. Specifically, over 150 million flower seedlings were planted, adorning streets, parks, and recreational areas. Notably, nearly 30 million flowers were planted within the Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur Park over the course of a month.
This achievement brought Namangan a historic milestone: the city set a Guinness World Record for the "most flowers planted by a team in one month." The official certificate was ceremoniously presented to Namangan Regional Governor Shavkatjon Abdurazzoqov by Guinness World Records representative Sheyda Subasi.
Namangan has now joined the ranks of select cities worldwide, cementing its name in the Guinness World Records.
Cultural events are also in full swing as part of the festival. Renowned singers are taking the stage, offering visitors unforgettable moments. Colorful concert programs, music, and a festive atmosphere are lifting the spirits of all guests.
