Drones spotted in Denmark: concerns rise
Drones have been seen over Karup airbase and other military sites in Denmark, causing the base’s airspace to be briefly closed to commercial flights. Drones were also reported in Germany, Norway, and Lithuania.

Danish authorities described the incident as a “hybrid attack,” but there is no evidence yet of Moscow’s involvement. The incident lasted several hours, and police did not provide information on the drones’ origin.

Karup airbase houses all helicopters and air surveillance units of the Danish Armed Forces, with 3,500 staff working there. Recently, Danish airports also temporarily halted flights due to drone activity.

Authorities in Germany, Norway, and Lithuania are investigating drone sightings in their territories. The Danish Defence Minister called the attack a “hybrid attack carried out by a professional actor.”
