In the 6th round of the English Premier League, Manchester United visited Brentford's ground away and unexpectedly lost 1-3. The match held at London's Brentford Community Stadium took place in dramatic fashion.
From the very first minutes of the match, the hosts seized the initiative and put their opponent in a tough position. In the 8th minute, Tiago opened the scoring with a precise shot. Even after the first goal, the player did not lose intensity in possession, scoring again in the 20th minute to complete a brace and bring the score to 2-0.
However, the Red Devils did not remain silent. In the 26th minute, Sheshko reduced the deficit with an accurate strike and gave the visitors hope. After this goal, Manchester United intensified their attacks but could not find a way past the goalkeeper.
In the 76th minute, Manchester's captain Bruno Fernandes had a chance to equalize from the penalty spot, but he failed to convert it.
At the end of the match, Brentford decided the fate of the game. In the added 90+5th minute, Jensen put the final point on the game and brought the score to 3-1.
After this victory, Brentford climbed to 11th place in the online table with 7 points. Manchester United, meanwhile, dropped to 13th with just 7 points, disappointing their fans once again.
