In the 6th round of the English Premier League, Manchester United suffered an unexpected 1-3 defeat away to Brentford. The match, held at London's Brentford Community Stadium, was dramatic.
From the very first minutes of the match, the hosts took the initiative and put the opponent in a difficult position. In the 8th minute, Thiago opened the scoring with an accurate shot. Not losing activity in possession even after the first goal, the player scored another goal in the 20th minute, scoring a brace and bringing the score to 2:0.
However, the "red devils" did not go unanswered. In the 26th minute, Sheshko reduced the deficit with a precise shot, giving the visitors hope. Following this goal, Manchester United intensified their attacks but were unable to reach the goal.
In the 76th minute, Manchester City captain Bruno Fernandes had a chance to equalize from a penalty, but couldn't capitalize on it.
At the end of the match, Brentford decided the outcome. In the 90+5th minute of added time, Jensen sealed the victory, making the score 3-1.
With this victory, Brentford moved up to 11th place in the online standings with 7 points. Manchester United simply dropped to 13th place with 7 points, disappointing their fans once again.
