Shinhan Bank of South Korea is now offering financial advisory services in Uzbek for its customers, according to The Korea Herald.
Overall, the bank provides services in 12 languages for foreigners, including Russian. The demand for Uzbek-language financial services has risen due to the increasing number of Uzbek nationals coming to South Korea in search of work.
Shinhan Bank's Foreign Customer Service Center provides services including international money transfers, opening bank accounts, mobile banking services, and oral interpretation assistance for clients who do not speak Korean. "We will continue to address the financial service-related 'blind spots' for foreign customers," a bank representative stated.
Shinhan Bank, headquartered in Seoul, is one of South Korea's leading financial conglomerates. Its history dates back to 1897, when it was established as the country's first bank under the name Hanseong Bank.
