Stefan Kuntz leaves Hamburg role after scandal

In early January, former Germany international Stefan Kuntz announced that he was stepping down as sporting director of Hamburg. He cited “personal issues,” but it has now become clear what was behind the statement. This was reported by euro-football.ru reports .

According to reports, the situation resembles the script of the scandal involving Marc Overmars at Ajax a few years ago. Two Hamburg employees filed complaints about inappropriate behavior by the 63-year-old Kuntz, and since such allegations are taken seriously in Germany, the outcome for Kuntz ended in disciplinary action.

It is noted that an internal investigation was conducted within the club. Kuntz denies the allegations, considers himself innocent, and said he is ready to defend his reputation in court if necessary.
