A world-renowned investor bought shares in Uzbekistan

Jim Rogers, a famous American investor in the financial world, made a decisive decision in his investment strategy. He sold all his shares in the US market and directed part of his capital to the Uzbek stock market.

The investor noted that the US market has been growing steadily since 2009, and this is one of the longest growth cycles in history. "The American market recently reached a historic maximum. It seemed like this growth was coming to an end, so I sold all my assets," Rogers said.

These agreements are expected to be implemented by the end of 2025. During this period, the investor added Uzbek shares to his portfolio as an unusual, but promising direction. "There aren't many shares traded on the exchange, I bought almost all of them," he explained.

Currently, shares of 85 companies are traded on the Tashkent Stock Exchange, covering banking, oil and gas, telecommunications, and other sectors. Rogers first expressed interest in the Uzbek market in 2021 and said that he was closely following the reforms, privatization, and IPO plans.

The investor emphasized that he owns only shares of Uzbek companies, and also believes in the Uzbek soum. At the same time, he did not rule out that he has not yet sold some of his assets in the Chinese market, but may reconsider this decision in the future.

Rogers stated that he holds a large amount of cash in dollars and noted that in the context of the global crisis, the dollar remains one of the most reliable instruments.
