Actor Tom Holland, known for his role as Spider-Man in the Marvel Universe, has seen his Instagram account flooded with comments from Russian-speaking users. They are demanding the return of money allegedly taken fraudulently from famous singer Larisa Dolina.
The situation arose because a fraudster used documents featuring Holland's photograph to deceive Dolina. The singer discussed the matter on the program "Pust Govoryat" ("Let Them Talk").
The comments on Holland's posts have been filled with jokes and mockery. Some users have humorously connected him to the movie title "Spider-Man: Homecoming" with witty remarks.
Others jokingly speculated whether the situation in Hollywood has deteriorated to the point where even famous actors have to resort to fraud to make ends meet. Additionally, some users expressed their disapproval of the incident and even apologized on behalf of the Russian people.
One user wrote in English: "Dear Tom, I apologize on behalf of all Russians for the numerous comments! This is due to the situation involving our singer Larisa Dolina. We love and appreciate you!"
