Weekly dynamics
The dollar-to-soum rate experienced certain fluctuations throughout the week. In the first half of the week, an increase was observed:
Monday: +17.53 soums
Tuesday: +8.64 soums
Wednesday: +35.56 soums
This upward trend may be linked to dynamics in international markets, changes in import-export operations, and domestic demand shifts.
In the second half of the week, a decline was recorded:
Thursday: +48.56 soums
Friday: -72.68 soums
As a result, the overall weekly change of 1 US dollar was negative for the national currency, ending with a total increase of 37,61 soums.
The Central Bank aims to form exchange rates based on market mechanisms while maintaining stability in economic processes. Such exchange rate movements are viewed as indicators of the global economic environment, foreign trade volume, and the level of domestic economic activity.
