Anvar Sobirov surprises with heartfelt confession about his brother
In brief

Uzbek actor and singer Anvar Sobirov shared heartfelt reflections about his brother, renowned artist Oghabek Sobirov, during his appearance on the show "Welcome." He expressed pride in walking in his brother's shadow, viewing it as a great blessing rather than a burden. Anvar emphasized their close bond, describing Oghabek not only as a brother but also as a confidant and mentor, and he expressed gratitude for having such a supportive figure in his life. He also addressed rumors of competition between them, humorously dismissing them and reaffirming his admiration for Oghabek.

Khorezmian actor and singer Anvar Sobirov participated in the "Xush kelibsiz" program, where he shared sincere thoughts about his brother, the famous artist Ogʻabek Sobirov. He emphasized that he considers walking in his brother's shadow not a cause for shame, but a great happiness.

According to Anvar Sobirov, he has been very close to Ogʻabek Sobirov since childhood—they are not only brothers but also confidants.

“Ogʻabek and I grew up together since we were young. We are not just brothers, but like-minded people who share each other's pain. He consults with me on both creative and personal matters, asking, 'Anvar, what do you think?' I also always exchange ideas with my brother. I thank Allah for giving me such a blessing,” he said.

He recalled that when he first entered the arts, many people referred to him as "Ogʻabek's younger brother" or "Ogʻabek's shadow."

“Thankfully, I am proud to walk in my brother's shadow, not a stranger's. There are so many who walk in the shadows of strangers, but I am happy to be with my brother. When Allah wants to give something to someone, He makes someone the cause—and He made my brother the cause for me,” he stated.

Anvar Sobirov also noted that he views his brother not only as a mentor but as his greatest support in life:

“He entered the arts before us and inspired us as well. Even now, we learn from him and take him as an example. For me, my brother is a mentor, a support, and a mountain of strength.”

He also mentioned that there are sometimes attempts to pit them against each other in competition:

“Some people try to stir things up by asking, 'Is there competition between the brothers?' To that, I say: do not speak ill of my brother; even if you throw a stone at me, do not throw one at my brother,” he said with a smile.
