As of April 27, 2026, the number of registered names in Russia's national Cyrillic domain ".rf" reached 800,941. Since the beginning of the year, this domain zone has increased by 22,039, recording a growth of 2.8 percent. Ixbt.com reports on this.

The development dynamics of the domain zone remained stable in 2025 as well. At that time, the number of domains increased by 2.5 percent, totaling 778,902.
During the year, 207,654 new names were registered, which is significantly higher than the figure for 2024.
Currently, the ".rf" domain is served by 185 registrars and more than 341,000 administrators. The majority of users, namely 82 percent, are individuals.
96.2 percent of the domains are reserved by Russian organizations and citizens. In terms of regions, Moscow, Saint Petersburg, and the Krasnodar Territory are leading.
It is worth noting that the ".rf" domain was granted to Russia by the ICANN corporation on May 12, 2010, and was the world's first Cyrillic domain. Starting from 2025, the possibility to support 26 letters in 18 state languages of the republics within Russia was created in this zone.
