The European Union has allocated a grant of 7 million euros to Uzbekistan to support its 2020-2030 agricultural development strategy. This was announced by the European Union Ambassador to Uzbekistan, Toivo Klaar, during a meeting with the Minister of Agriculture, Ibrohim Abdurahmonov.
This grant is part of the European Union’s broader project to support agriculture in Uzbekistan, with a total value of 20 million euros. In 2023, 6 million euros were allocated by the European Union, while the remaining 7 million euros will be provided in 2026, contingent upon the successful implementation of reforms and achievement of the designated goals.
“Efficient use of land resources and the management of the food security system are crucial for attracting investments, ensuring sustainability, and enhancing export competitiveness, especially within the framework of accession to the WTO,” said Toivo Klaar.
