President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, at an expanded meeting on preventing corruption, stressed the need to increase transparency in public procurement, prevent conflicts of interest, and expand the use of national products.

According to the President, the main problems in public procurement are the purchase of goods at high prices and the misuse of funds through corruption schemes.

"In general, there are more than 50 types of goods and services that are purchased directly. However, no leader has proposed to remove this from the list, let everyone choose, the price will be cheaper," the President said.

To prevent such situations, the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the Accounts Chamber, and the parliamentary committees responsible for the budget were instructed to halve direct purchases.

Ensuring transparency with the help of artificial intelligence

The President instructed to launch an electronic control system based on artificial intelligence in order to make public procurement transparent.

✅ Prices of goods and services in public procurement will be adjusted to market prices.
✅ It has been strictly stipulated that goods and services will not be purchased at a price more than 20% higher than the average market price.

Also, a special electronic platform will be created to monitor market prices in public procurement.

The President stressed the need to sharply reduce the use of official transport in state and budgetary organizations and expand the use of national cars and national furniture.
