On July 1, reports about the closure of the “Urikzor” construction market spread on social networks, causing concern among many. Most people associated the situation with power supply issues, but official information provided by the relevant authorities revealed the true reason.
It became known that during inspections at the “Urikzor Stroy Gorod” construction market, numerous violations of fire safety regulations were found in the trading pavilions. In particular, electrical wiring was improperly installed, insulation levels did not meet standards, and in hazardous areas, the load exceeded permissible limits. This created a high risk of fire.
According to the information provided by the Tashkent Department of Emergency Situations and representatives of the “Territorial Electric Networks” JSC, the decision to temporarily close the market was made due to these violations. This decision was officially issued by the Tashkent Interdistrict Economic Court.
Authorities emphasized that no power outage or electrical emergency occurred at the market. The power supply remained stable. The information about a blackout turned out to be false. Such claims may have come from disgruntled entrepreneurs or individual social media users and are likely related to internal disagreements with the market administration.
Experts believe that if such violations are not addressed in time, they pose not only material damage but also a serious threat to human life. Therefore, warnings from specialists must be taken seriously.
To resume the market's operations, the identified deficiencies must be eliminated as soon as possible. Only then can the trading complex resume its activities. In order to maintain the convenience created for entrepreneurs and customers, it is vital to comply with safety requirements and carry out necessary repair work starting today.
The market administration needs to review its operations in light of these issues and take measures to ensure even safer and more comfortable trading spaces. In any large commercial area, customer and employee safety must come first.
The temporary suspension of operations at “Urikzor” market should be regarded only as a temporary measure. It is part of a broader restructuring and improvement of the safety system aimed at enhancing future market operations.
Relevant authorities will continue to monitor the situation regularly. Once all deficiencies are fully addressed, the market will reopen its doors to customers and entrepreneurs.
