A woman named "Shahnoza", currently living in Turkey, promised two women living in the city of Almalyk, Tashkent region, that she would send their daughters to this country, that she would welcome them and help them earn a good income. She convinced the girls that she had a job in the field of "facial massage", but that she intended to use the girls for sexual purposes and covered their plane tickets and other material expenses to travel from Uzbekistan to Turkey.
The two 19-year-old girls arrived in Ankara, Turkey, via Tashkent International Airport on February 6 of this year, and then to the Konya region. The three people who met them (citizens of Turkey and Uzbekistan) immediately took the girls' passports.
After that, they were taken to a brothel and forced to provide sexual services to men. One of the girls was beaten for not agreeing to this and was subjected to mental and physical pressure. They were kept in closed conditions and threatened with death if they resisted again.
Based on information received by the operatives of the Tashkent Regional Department of Internal Affairs on February 12, as a result of the operative measures taken in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and law enforcement agencies of the Republic of Turkey, the two girls, born in 2005, were returned to Uzbekistan. The girls were immediately placed in a rehabilitation center.
In addition, the individuals who lured the girls and involved them in sexual activities were arrested in Turkey. In this case, a criminal case was initiated against a woman (Sh.Jh.), a citizen of the Republic of Uzbekistan, born in 1987, under Part 2 of Article 135 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Measures are currently being taken to extradite this person to Uzbekistan.
