Driver in Qashqadaryo drags people while fleeing scene

A disturbing incident in Uzbekistan’s Qashqadaryo region has gone viral on social media. On July 8 at around 14:30, a driver of a Nexia-3 car dragged several individuals who were clinging to the vehicle in an attempt to stop it. The regional Internal Affairs Department has issued a statement, as reported by UPL.uz.

According to the report, a conflict occurred between citizens R.L., K.S., and local business owner E.I. Following the argument, R.L. and K.S. tried to leave the area in their car, but E.I. and his relatives attempted to stop them. Despite their efforts, the driver accelerated, dragging the people with the moving vehicle.

The driver then fled the scene. Authorities in Mirishkor district are currently conducting a preliminary investigation. Law enforcement is working to determine the exact sequence of events and assign legal responsibility to all involved parties.
