Uzbek Citizens to Be Sent to Work in Mersin Province, Turkey

Diplomats from the Embassy of Uzbekistan conducted a working visit to Mersin Province, Turkey. The purpose of the visit was to familiarize themselves with the living and working conditions of Uzbek citizens temporarily working in Mersin province, as well as to conduct negotiations with potential employers.

During the meeting with compatriots working temporarily in this region, the current processes of regulating external labor migration in Uzbekistan, organizing safe and orderly labor migration, and supporting citizens working abroad and their families were discussed. It was emphasized that labor migrants must comply with Turkey's migration laws.

During the visit, Uzbekistan diplomats met with Gökhan Kartaymaz, a representative of the IC İçtaş Nükleer company. The meeting addressed issues of expanding the scope of organizational employment of Uzbek citizens, the advantages of an organized system of worker selection, and providing citizens of Uzbekistan with qualification certificates within the framework of their employment in Turkey.

It was reported that currently more than 700 Uzbek citizens are employed at this company.

As a result of the negotiations, an agreement was reached to continue cooperation with this company on organizational employment of Uzbek citizens.
