
In January–June 2025, 23,300 divorce cases were recorded in Uzbekistan, uz24.uz reported. This is 800 more than the same period last year.
Some link this to the pressures of modern life, economic problems, or cultural changes. But the truth is – families are facing increasing challenges.
. In cities, divorces amounted to 14,100 cases, which is 60.6% of the total.
. In rural areas, there were 9,200 cases, or 39.4%.
Regions with the highest number of divorces:
. Tashkent city: 1,500
. Tashkent region: 1,200
. Fergana region: 1,200
The lowest number of divorces was registered in Navoi region – only 310.
At the same time, the number of marriages also dropped in the first half of 2025. A total of 95,300 marriages were recorded, 2,100 fewer than last year.
