Uzbekistan Delegation Secures Second Place at Islamic Games


The Uzbekistan delegation achieved significant success at the 6th Islamic Solidarity Games held in Riyadh, securing second place in the overall team standings by the end of the competition. Uzbek athletes won a total of 96 medals: 29 gold, 35 silver, and 32 bronze.

On the final day of the event, Uzbekistan’s team added three more medals to their tally. Among the notable achievements, Qudratoy Toshpolatova, competing in the women’s heavyweight category of para-powerlifting, lifted 134 kg to claim second place and secured a silver medal.

Additionally, Sarvarbek Rahmonberdiyev earned a bronze medal in the 62 kg weight category. In the bronze medal match, he faced an athlete from Kyrgyzstan and secured victory through tactical superiority.

Later in the day, Bekzod Jamilov participated in the heavyweight category of para-powerlifting and took third place, earning a bronze medal. Thus, the final day of the competition ended successfully for Uzbekistan’s athletes.
