In the sixth round of the UEFA Champions League group stage, London’s “Arsenal” secured a decisive 3-0 victory against the Belgian side “Brugge” on the road. The “Gunners” controlled most of the game and converted their dominance into goals after halftime.
From the outset, “Arsenal” took control of possession and dictated play. The team actively utilized wing play and applied pressure on the Belgians’ penalty area through consistent crosses.
At the same time, the hosts responded with rare but dangerous counterattacks. By the middle of the first half, the English side had created several scoring opportunities.
Following a corner kick, Hincapié hit the post, while Gyökeres missed the target from a favorable position. Ultimately, the pressure paid off.
In the 25th minute, Madueke received the ball in the center, approached the penalty area, and sent a powerful shot into the top right corner of the goal. The ball bounced off the crossbar and went in, putting “Arsenal” in the lead.
Until halftime, the visitors continued to dominate the game. The second half followed a similar pattern, with “Arsenal” extending their lead. Subimendi advanced down the left flank and delivered a precise cross to the far post.
Madueke, unmarked by defenders, converted the chance to score a brace. “Brugge” responded with several dangerous attacks.
Salis and Stankovic tested goalkeeper Raya with long-range shots, while Furo attempted a sharp-angle strike, but none of them found the net. However, “Arsenal” withstood the pressure.
Later, the Londoners sealed the result. Martinelli tricked a defender on the left flank and struck a brilliant shot from 25 meters.
The ball beautifully curled into the top far corner, increasing the score to 3-0. In the final minutes, the Belgians tried to score a consolation goal, but efforts from Mechele and Mekelen were off target.
After Jesus's effort, the ball hit the crossbar, preventing the scoreline from increasing further.
