Polina Kudermetova to Represent Uzbekistan

22-year-old tennis player from Kazan, Polina Kudermetova, will represent Uzbekistan on the international stage. The International Tennis Federation (ITF) website has updated her profile to display the Uzbek flag.

Kudermetova is currently ranked 104th in the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) rankings. Previously, she represented Russia, but now she will compete under the Uzbek flag in ITF and WTA tournaments.

This decision by Kudermetova marks the third such change among Russian tennis players within the past month. Earlier, Kamilla Rakhimova also changed her sporting nationality, deciding to represent Uzbekistan.

Meanwhile, Anastasia Potapova announced her move to join Austria’s national team.
