On January 5, 2026 at 05:03 Tashkent time, in Serie A Round 18, Inter beat Bologna 3–1 at home and, with 39 points, climbed back to the top of the standings. This was reported by kursiv.uzreports.
From the opening minutes, the Milan side took control of the ball and pinned the opponent around their penalty area. Bologna responded mostly with a few counterattacks, while goalkeeper Ravaglia’s solid performance kept the score level for a long time. However, in the 39th minute the visitors made a defensive mistake during a quick transition: Lautaro Martinez, falling, slipped a pass to the edge of the box, and Piotr Zielinski fired accurately into the left corner to open the scoring.
In the second half, Inter increased the tempo and stepped up pressure down the wings. In the 51st minute, Calhanoglu delivered a corner and Martinez won his position to head in for 2–0.
In the following minutes, the hosts repeatedly loaded the box from set pieces. In the 74th minute, Dimarco sent the ball into the area and Thuram, beating the defenders’ challenge, scored the third goal.
Bologna pulled one back in the 85th minute: Castro finished Lykogiannis’ pass to make it 3–1. After that, Inter calmly controlled the closing stages and secured the win.
The result was revenge for Inter after a recent setback in the Super Cup. The Milan club returned to first place with 39 points, while Bologna stayed 7th with 26 points.
