Monaco defender suffers serious injury in match against Lyon

In a French league match against Lyon, Monaco defender Mohammed Salisu suffered a serious injury. This was reported by euro-football.ru reports .

The incident occurred near the final minutes of the game. The match ended with a 1–3 defeat for the team from Monaco. The club’s press service said Salisu tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee. The player’s return timeline has not yet been disclosed.

Monaco have recorded seven wins, eight losses and two draws after 17 rounds in Ligue 1 this season. The team are 9th in the standings with 23 points.
