PSG goalkeeper Matvey Safonov remains under the supervision of the club’s medical department after the Intercontinental Cup final. In that match, he saved four shots in the penalty shootout, but suffered a hand injury. This was reported by euro-football.ru reports .
Now there is positive news: the latest examinations of Safonov’s hand have shown good results. According to Sport24, the Russian keeper will return to PSG’s full training group in the coming days.
As a reminder, on Tuesday PSG lost 1–2 to Sporting in the Champions League. After the match in France, PSG’s first-choice goalkeeper Lucas Chevalier came under criticism.
PSG will play their next match away to Auxerre on Friday, January 23.
