Uzbekistan clubs may feature in AFC Champions League through two paths

Starting next season, new opportunities are opening up for Uzbekistan clubs in the Asian arena. The country will now be allocated slots in the Elite Asian Champions League in a 1+1 format, further expanding the opportunities for local clubs to showcase themselves on the international stage.
It has been clarified that the distribution of slots is structured as follows: FC Neftchi will directly participate in the group stage of the Elite ACL. FC Pakhtakor will compete from the qualification stage, fighting to reach the main tournament. FC Nasaf will defend the country's honor in the ACL 2 tournament.
The most interesting scenario is that if Pakhtakor fails to pass the qualification stage, the team will be redirected to the ACL 2 tournament. This would lead to two clubs participating in this competition simultaneously on behalf of Uzbekistan.
According to experts, this format is a great opportunity for local clubs, serving to increase players' experience, enhance competition on the international stage, and elevate the prestige of the country's football.
In short, Uzbekistan clubs are expected to participate more actively and broadly in the Asian arena in the new season. Fans, in turn, are looking forward to worthy results and exciting performances from our teams.
