Barcelona Unable to Secure Funds for Haaland Transfer

Barcelona unable to find funds for Haaland transfer

Barcelona legend Miguel Nadal has warned the Catalan club that their plans to sign Manchester City striker Erling Haaland may be difficult to realize. Although club president Joan Laporta envisions the Norwegian star as the primary symbol of the renovated Camp Nou stadium, the financial aspects of the transfer pose a major challenge. Goal.com reports on the matter.

According to Nadal, Haaland is currently considered the best striker in world football; however, his transfer fee and salary requirements far exceed the club's current capabilities. Despite the team's improved performance under Hansi Flick, securing the record-breaking funds required for the 25-year-old could prove to be an impossible task for Barcelona.

The club's management is also considering Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah as a potential candidate. However, Nadal emphasized that such a risk should be avoided, given that the Egyptian forward has reached the age of 33-34. According to him, while Salah could strengthen any team, the Catalans should currently focus on young and promising projects.

As the summer transfer window approaches, Laporta and the club leadership continue to hope for a "miracle" regarding the Haaland deal. Unless the club's commercial revenues increase significantly or key players are sold, it remains highly probable that the Norwegian striker will stay in England.
