Bayern fail to reach agreement with Upamecano on new contract

Bayern Munich have not yet reached a final decision on a new deal with centre-back Dayot Upamecano. This was reported by journalist Maximilian Koch. This is reported by euro-football.ru reports .
According to the source, two key issues are on the agenda in the talks: the contract length and the terms for early termination. The parties are discussing whether the player will stay with the team until 2030 or until 2031. The second clause could take effect from 2027 (at the player’s request) or from 2028 (at the club’s request).
The financial terms have already been agreed: a €20 million annual salary as well as a signing bonus of the same amount. Despite a one-month delay in negotiations, it is emphasized that the likelihood of Upamecano staying at the club remains high.
This season, the 27-year-old French defender has made 24 appearances, scored 1 goal, provided 1 assist and received 7 yellow cards.
