Monaco forward Folarin Balogun spoke about his expectations ahead of the 2026 World Cup. This was reported by euro-football.ru reports .
As a reminder, the United States will be one of the tournament hosts. Balogun will play for the U.S. national team.
“I always say: the most important thing is the shape you arrive at the World Cup in. Right now at Monaco I need to focus on my performances on the pitch, and that will help me go into the tournament in the best possible condition,” the club’s press service quoted the player as saying.
The 2026 World Cup will be held in three countries at the same time for the first time in history — the United States, Canada and Mexico. The tournament will also feature 48 national teams for the first time.
The U.S. previously hosted the World Cup in 1994, when Brazil won the title.
