Vladimir Kuzmichyov, the agent of Antalyaspor defender Georgiy Jikiya, responded to speculation about whether the player will stay with the team. This was reported by euro-football.ru reports .
According to the agent, Jikiya is doing well and the club’s coaching staff trusts him. It was noted that the reason he missed the last few matches was a minor injury, and that he has now recovered. In Kuzmichyov’s view, the defender could return to the lineup as early as the next game.
As a reminder, earlier media reports said the Turkish club was considering parting ways with the former Spartak captain.
This season, Jikiya has played 12 matches in the Turkish league and scored 2 goals. His current contract with Antalyaspor runs until mid-2027.
