Snowing in Moscow: strong winds disrupt life (video)

On April 27, an unexpected weather change was observed in the city of Moscow and the Moscow region, as snowfall in the middle of spring surprised residents. A "yellow level of danger" was declared in the city due to snow, ice, and strong winds.

According to the Hydrometeorological Center, precipitation and winds reaching 18–23 meters per second persisted throughout the day. Evgeny Tishkovets, an expert at the "Phobos" center, noted that Moscow received half of its monthly precipitation norm during this event.

Severe winds and snow also impacted the city's infrastructure. In some areas, fallen trees obstructed traffic. Specifically, on the Arbat-Pokrovskaya metro line, train services were temporarily suspended between the "Partizanskaya" and "Shchelkovskaya" stations after a tree fell onto the tracks.

Serious problems were also observed in the aviation sector. During the night, more than 50 aircraft were unable to depart from Vnukovo Airport on time. Officials later confirmed that several flights were delayed due to unfavorable weather conditions.

In the cities of Dubna and Domodedovo in the Moscow region, power supplies were partially cut off as a result of falling trees. Additionally, train movements on the Paveletsky and Savelovsky directions were restricted.

In short, April brought a "winter mood" back to Moscow. Nature reminded everyone once again: you may have plans, but the final decision always belongs to the weather.
