Another important step has been taken in Uzbekistan towards modernizing public administration and increasing efficiency. According to the new decision of the Cabinet of Ministers, key performance indicators (KPI) are being introduced for the evaluation of the activities of heads of republican executive authorities and economic associations and their deputies, reports norma.uz.
Based on this decision, special expert groups will be established to accurately assess the effectiveness of managers and their deputies, analyze results, and prevent the risk of non-fulfillment. Experts will develop KPIs, check their compliance with government programs and the goals of the "Uzbekistan – 2030" strategy, as well as their orientation towards solving existing problems in the sectors.
At the same time, KPIs will undergo expert review: state scientific centers and other interested organizations will also be involved in this process. After KPIs are approved, their implementation will be constantly monitored, and proposals will be prepared in advance to eliminate deficiencies and risks.
The tasks of expert groups include ensuring that KPIs comply with the "Uzbekistan – 2030" strategy and state programs, monitoring the targeted use of budget funds, and regularly analyzing the results of KPI implementation.
It is expected that the introduction of this system will further strengthen transparency, efficiency, and accountability in public administration. At the same time, relevant changes and additions have been made to the Cabinet of Ministers' resolution on measures to organize the assessment of the activities of heads of executive authorities and their deputies based on KPI.
The new system requires high responsibility, accuracy, and efficiency from managers and employees. Fans and experts are closely following the results of these reforms. Read 'Zamin' on Telegram!
