Uzhydromet officially announced the risk of avalanches in a number of mountainous regions of the republic following possible heavy precipitation and sharp changes in air temperature on December 10-12 of this year.
It is noted that the danger may mainly arise in the Bostanlyk, Akhangaran, and Parkent districts of the Tashkent region (in particular, the mountainous part of the Chatkal Range) and the Pap district of the Namangan region. Officials emphasize that the increase in precipitation and rapid temperature fluctuations in these areas increase the likelihood of activating natural processes.
Uzhydromet urges citizens, especially those living in mountainous areas, vacation tourists, and drivers on the roads, to exercise maximum caution, to choose the road with extreme caution on dangerous streets, and to constantly monitor weather forecasts.
