Tesla presents affordable electric vehicles for Europe

At a time when demand is slowing and competitors' pressure is increasing, Tesla has unveiled a cheaper version of the Model 3 electric vehicle for the European market. This was reported by Reuters.

Despite the fact that the new version has some simplified conveniences, the main technical capabilities have been preserved - the ability to travel more than 480 kilometers on a single charge according to the WLTP standard has remained the same.

At the same time, a number of functions were transferred from the "economy mode" to reduce prices. Specifically:

• Rear screen and seat ventilation canceled

• Steering wheel now manually adjustable

• The interior materials are not entirely leather - they are made from a combination of fabric and artificial leather.

• The car is only available with 18-inch wheels

The color selection is also limited: the model is available only in white, black, and gray variants.

In Germany, the starting price of the new option is set at 37,970 euros. For comparison, the Model 3 Premium costs 45,970 euros in the same market. In Norway, the price is set at approximately $32,600, and in Sweden - around $47,800.

Deliveries of the affordable Model 3s are scheduled for the first quarter of 2026. According to experts, Tesla is trying not to lose its share in Europe through aggressive pricing policies. Because cheap competitors like Volkswagen ID.3 and China's BYD Atto 3 are becoming popular and the market is becoming serious.
