New Tax Benefits for Those Paying Education Fees for Their Spouse or Children

In Uzbekistan, tax benefits for paying higher education fees have been further expanded. Now, regardless of the age of the child, when paying tuition fees for higher education institutions, individuals can receive a tax exemption of 12% from income tax. This new regulation has been introduced in the latest revisions of the Tax Code.

According to the new rules, payments made for higher and vocational education (for one's own education, as well as for the education of children or spouses under 26 years old) are exempt from personal income tax. This, compared to the previous regulations, significantly helps parents and their families reduce the financial burden related to educational expenses.

Additionally, the tax exemption for educational payments will not only apply to parents or their children, but also to payments made for the education of spouses, as long as the payments are made before the spouse turns 26. This creates new opportunities for education and contributes to improving the financial opportunities of families.

The changes introduced in the Tax Code will help ease the burden of educational payments for parents and improve their financial situation. This, in turn, will positively impact family budgets and contribute to the development of the education sector in the country.
