Guberniev Joked About the 2026 World Cup Being Moved to Zlatoust

Sports commentator Dmitry Guberniev made a sarcastic remark about the possibility of the 2026 FIFA World Cup being moved from North America. This was reported by euro-football.ru, reports .

In a post on social media, he joked: “I have a feeling the World Cup will be moved from the USA to Zlatoust… It feels like it’s heading that way!”

It should be noted that the Russian Biathlon Cup is currently being held in Zlatoust.

According to the schedule, the 2026 World Cup will take place from June 11th to July 19th in the USA, Canada and Mexico. The tournament will feature 48 national teams.

The current world champion is the Argentina national team. In the final of the 2022 World Cup, the Argentinians defeated France.
