Guardiola considered the victory over Leeds a decisive moment

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola highlighted his team's patient play and possession after the 1-0 away victory over Leeds in the 28th round of the Premier League. According to him, making many assists and controlling game tempo leads to victory in such difficult matches. City snatched three points thanks to Antoine Semeno's goal in added time to the first half.
Guardiola didn't see the game against Leeds as an easy test. On the contrary, he assessed the debate at Elland Road as a very difficult and pressuring encounter. According to him, the hosts played quite intensely at the beginning of the game, but the "citizens" later switched to their own style - they controlled the ball for a long time, made many passes, and thereby shifted the game atmosphere to their side.
Another important point of the Spanish specialist was that the championship is now entering a decisive stage. He reminded everyone that there are still 10 matches left in the Premier League and said that at this very moment, the value of such victories is twice as high. From these statements, it's clear that "City" is now treating almost every round as if it were a final.
This success also played a significant role for Manchester City in the league table. Guardiola's side reached 59 points, narrowing the gap with league leaders Arsenal to two points. This means the championship race is getting more intense, and every minimal victory is worth gold.
Now City faces another important challenge. On the night of March 4th to 5th, Manchester United will host Nottingham Forest. In this sense, the victory over Leeds was not only a result but also a psychological boost before the next big match.
