The Executive Committee of the Olympic Council of Asia approved Tashkent as the host city for the 4th Asian Youth Games in 2029 during a meeting held in Bahrain. The official decision was announced today at the closing ceremony of the 3rd Asian Youth Games.
During the event, council representatives especially emphasized the Uzbek capital's readiness to host major international competitions and its developed sports infrastructure. This event will be Uzbekistan’s first experience in organizing the Youth Games.
It is expected that hundreds of young athletes from dozens of Asian countries will participate in the competition.
