A change of leadership took place in the rapidly developing Sergeli district of Tashkent. According to the city administration's press service, Davron Rahimjonovich Ismatov has been appointed the new governor of the district.
Prior to his appointment, since February 2024, he headed the Tashkent City Main Directorate of the Central Bank. A specialist with extensive experience in the field of finance, he is known for his work in a number of responsible positions in public finance, the banking system, and economic management.
Davron Ismatov was born in 1982 in the capital. He graduated from the Tashkent Financial Institute and studied at the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. Officials note that his experience will be important in improving the district's infrastructure, increasing economic activity, and creating favorable conditions for the population.
Elbek Shukurov had headed the Sergeli district since 2020. It has not yet been officially announced which position he will take, but detailed information is expected in the coming days.
