In Uzbekistan, the New Year holidays may last four consecutive days. This proposal has been put forward by the Ministry of Employment and Poverty Reduction.
Currently, December 31, January 2, and January 3 are considered working days. Should this initiative gain approval, citizens will enjoy extended holidays.
It should be noted that during last year's New Year celebrations, individuals working a five-day week were given six consecutive days off, while those on a six-day workweek had the opportunity to take five days off.
