In India, the prime minister became the center of serious discussions after interfering with a Muslim woman's hijab

In India's Bihar state, Prime Minister Nitish Kumar has been heavily criticized for interfering with a Muslim woman's hijab during an official event. According to The Independent, during the ceremony of handing over appointment documents to medical staff, when a doctor named Nusrat Parvin came on stage, Kumar saw his hijab and asked "What is this?" and unexpectedly tried to pull down his hijab. The video shows the woman stunned, and the deputy tried to stop the movement by pulling the minister's hand.

The incident was also strongly condemned by human rights organizations. Amnesty International head Akar Patel called this an "open attack on women's dignity and autonomy." She emphasized that no one has the right to control a woman's beliefs or style of dress.

Opposition parties also sharply criticized the minister. While representatives of the Rashtriya Janata Dal expressed doubts about Kumar's mental state, the Congress party called for his resignation and assessed the act as "disgusting and unforgivable."

According to reports, Nusrat Parvin is also considering abandoning public service after this incident.
