Residents of Uzbekistan can now, without rushing to the pharmacy, find out in a few seconds whether the necessary medication is dispensed with a prescription or without a prescription. This opportunity was provided by a new and convenient service launched by the My.gov.uz portal.
In recent months, the rules for combating illicit drug trafficking have been tightened, and pharmacies that allow the dispensing of certain drugs without a prescription may be deprived of their licenses. Therefore, there were many misunderstandings between the population and pharmacists.
Now the "Information about prescription and over-the-counter medicines" section, launched on the My.gov.uz portal, is expected to put an end to this problem. The procedure is very simple: you just need to enter the name of the required medicine in the search box - the system will provide accurate and free information about its sales rules.
As is known, the "Electronic Prescription" system is being gradually implemented in the capital and 15 other regions. Based on a special list approved by the Ministry of Health, the circulation of certain drugs is under strict control. It is expected that the new online service will not only create convenience for the population, but also increase transparency in the pharmaceutical trade and reduce unnecessary complaints and disputes.
