A professional chef from Spain has been brought in for the Uzbekistan national team

The Football Association of Uzbekistan has implemented a new initiative to improve the national team's preparation for the 2026 World Cup. This was reported by the organization's press service.

According to reports, an experienced head chef and sports nutritionist from Spain were recruited to the team headquarters. They play an important role in monitoring the healthy nutrition of football players, accelerating recovery processes, and maintaining a stable overall physical condition.

The UFA emphasized that this initiative aims to introduce an individual nutrition program for national team members, maintain energy balance, and create a diet that meets the needs of each player's body. This, in turn, serves to increase the endurance of players during the game and their ability to quickly recover.

For information, the national team of Uzbekistan will take part in the international friendly tournament in Dubai as part of the FIFA Days in November. Participants of the World Cup - the teams of Uzbekistan, Iran, Egypt, and Cape Verde - will compete in this tournament. All matches will be held at the Hazza bin Zayed Stadium.

As a reminder, it was recently reported that Timur Kapadze, the former head coach of the Uzbekistan national team and previously serving as assistant coach, resigned from his position.

The involvement of new specialists is expected to further strengthen the team's athletic form and overall preparedness - this is considered one of the important steps towards qualifying for the 2026 World Cup.
